A BRAVE The Harrovian has earned an autumn rest, according to co-trainer Toby Edmonds.
The Harrovian (Fastnet Rock-Harrow) delighted the Edmonds stable with his fighting fifth in Mugatoo's All Star Mile at Moonee Valley last Saturday.
Edmonds, who trains the North Queensland-owned galloper with his son Trent, said The Harrovian's effort was one of which he was "extremely proud".
"Right from the go we were aware he was not up to the Cox Plate horses but he is brave and he did what he always does," Edmonds said.
"He was good all the way through the race and he'll go to the farm for a couple of weeks and then we will head towards the winter carnival.
"There looks to be some nice races for him and I could not be any prouder of the horse."
The $1.5 million Stradbroke (1400m) at Eagle Farm in June will be The Harrovian's primary focus, Edmonds confirmed, adding the handicap conditions of Brisbane's feature sprint would be more advantageous for The Harrovian than the weight-for-age conditions of the $5 million Mile.
The Harrovian might have been unplaced at Moonee Valley but he collected $150,000, which has pushed his racetrack earnings to $898,830.
