CQLX Gracemere agents presented a decreased yarding of 2688 at last Wednesday's cattle sale, comprising 1571 steers, 899 heifers, 194 cows, 15 bulls, and nine cows and calves.
Processor cattle held stronger on the previous week's results. All lines of store cattle were once again keenly sought after by a spirited buyers panel, with a slight increase in pricing for weaner heifers.
Most cattle were drawn from local areas with some lines coming from Mackay, Clermont and Bloomsbury.
Slaughter steers sold to 380c, average 364.6c, steers 400-500kg made 414.2c, average 393.1c, steers 300-400kg reached 446.2c, average 402.2c, steers 200-300kg made 572.2c, average 431.4c and steers under 200kg sold to 572.2c, average 462.3c.
Slaughter cows sold to 360.2c, average 299.5c, cows 400-450kg made 348.2c, average 290.4c, cows 320-400kg reached 296.2c, average 272.2c, and cows under 320kg made 304.2c, average 236.3c.
Heavy heifers sold to 364.2c, average 352c, heifers 300-400kg made 424.2c, average 384.7c, heifers 200-300kg reached 444.2c, average 392.8c, and heifers under 200kg made 456.2c, average 400.8c.
Cows and calves sold to $1675/unit, average $1436/unit.
Bulls over 600kg made 388.2c, average 370c, bulls 450-600kg reached 388.2c, average 371.5c and bulls under 450kg sold to 456.2c, average 400.7c.
