Prices were good across the yarding, with heifers particularly bringing exceptional results.
Heavy steers from 400-500kg sold to 379c to average 360c, medium weight steers from 280-350kg made to 421c to average 369c, weaner steers from 200-280kg sold to 456c to average 408c, while weaner steers under 200kg sold to 437c to average 420c.
Heavy heifers over 400kg sold to a top of 364c to average 340c, 350-400kg heifers sold to 389c to average 342c, 280-350kg heifers sold to 396c to average 334c, 200-280kg weaner heifers made to a top of 406c to average 386c, while weaner heifers under 200kg sold to a top of 401c to average 376c.
Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 274c to average 270c, while cows 450-520kg were too few to quote. Heavy bulls over 600kg sold to a top of 322c to average 291c.
Allan and Denise Esmond, Lucknow, Emerald, sold Santa cross steers to 345c to weigh 510kg or $1760. The Garside family, Calderwood, Dysart sold Santa cross heifers to 395c to weigh 344kg to return $1359. Shane Goodwin, Malthoid, Capella, sold Brahman cross cows making to 274c to weigh 538kg or $1476.
