Charters Towers combined agents yarded a total of 2128 head at Friday's store sale.
Cattle consisted of 1086 steers, 153 mickeys, 847 heifers and 42 cows and calves.
Cattle consisted of a mixed yarding of steers and heifers, with smaller lines of good quality cattle selling to good market rates.
The yarding was drawn from Croydon, Georgetown, Burketown, Tablelands, Belyando, as well as local and coastal areas.

Mickeys under 450kg sold to 358c, averaging 295c. Heifers under 200kg topped at 396c and averaged 325c, heifers 200 - 320kg sold to 380c, averaging 317c, heifers 320 - 370kg made 320c to average 304c, and heifers over 370kg topped at 320c, averaging 318c.
A pen of 41 steers a/c Fleetwood Grazing, made 412.2c to average 185kg, returning an average of $762/hd. A good pen of 36 heifers on a/c LA and ML Brazier made 396.2c, weighing 199kg returning an average of $788/hd. 40 cows and calves sold a/c Mt Douglas Pastoral Co returned $1725/unit.
