Mareeba combined agents penned a total of 1847 head at this week's prime and special store cattle sale, an increase of 340 head on the previous week.
Two local processors were present along with several traders and a large gallery of local buyers.
The yarding consisted of 311 steers averaging 304.5c selling to a top of 356.2c, 614 bulls averaging 248.7c selling to a top of 358.2c, 390 cows averaging 206.9c selling to a top of 278.2c, 280 heifers averaging 248.5c selling to a top of 325c, 146 yearling heifers averaging 268.7c selling to a top of 340.2c and 106 yearling steers averaging 348.8c selling to a top of 380.2c.
