There was a good line-up of quality feeder steers and heifers and prices reflected the quality of cattle on offer.
Cows and calves sold to a top of $1880/unit, while steers in the 200 to 300kg weight range sold to 454c to return $1242/hd. Heifers in the same weight range sold to 384c returning $1075/hd.
From Eidsvold, Brangus cows sold for 281c at 415kg returning $1166/hd. Santa Gertrudis cross steers sold for 454c at 273kg returning $1242/hd. Brangus cross steers sold for 390c at 380kg returning $1482/hd. Angus cross heifers sold for 360c at 185kg returning $666/hd.
Charolais cross cows from Monto sold for 244c at 572kg returning $1398/hd and Murray Grey cross heifers sold for 384c at 280kg returning $1075.
