There was a yarding 337 head at Monto on Wednesday.

Monto Cattle & Country offered a small yarding of 337 head for their fortnightly fat and store sale.

Heavy bulls sold from $1001 to $1763/hd, topping at 328c/kg. Cows sold to $1843.11 or 252c. Steers topped at $1913 or 408c with heifers reaching $1454 and 377c.

RB and K Dent's Brangus cross cows and calves sold for $1470/unit.

VL Whitby offered Bazadais cross cows which sold for 285c to make $1843. Twin Creeks Rural Holdings sold Brahman cows for 273c averaging 508kg to realise $1390.

MD Louttit yarded heavy Bazadais cross steers averaging $1894 at 375c while CS and ALR Anger offered Santa weaner steers averaging 267kg at 407c to make $1090. Bluffview Pastoral offered Brangus weaner steers making 407c to realise $724.

Monto Cattle & Country's next sale will be the Charbray and Charbray infused prime and store cattle show and sale on August 12, with presentations at 9.30 followed by the sale at 10am. Other breeds and lines of cattle are also welcome at this sale. The next fat and store sale is on Wednesday, August 26 starting at 9am.
