Charters Towers combined agents yarded a total of 2518 cattle, consisting of 2152 prime cattle and 366 store cattle. The prime cattle consisted of 335 bullocks, 493 heifers, 1163 cows and 200 bulls. The store cattle consisted of 229 steers and 137 heifers.
Cattle consisted of a large run of female cattle consisting of mainly cows in forward store to finished from Mt Isa and Georgetown area. The yarding was drawn from Chillagoe, Mt Garnett, Georgetown, Einasleigh, Mt Isa, Hughenden, Richmond, Julia Creek local and coastal areas.

Steers and bullocks under 500kg sold to 368.2c and averaged 320.8c, and those over 500kg topped at 368.2c to average 360.1c. Heifers under 440kg sold to 338.2c and averaged 289.8c, while heifers over 440kg topped at 348.2c, averaging 339.6c. Cows under 400kg made 288.2c and averaged 242.4c, while cows over 400kg reached 310.2c, averaging 280.6c. Bulls under 450kg made 322.2c and averaged 291c, while bulls over 450kg reached 350.2c to average 330.3c.
Bullocks topped at 368.2c, for nine head averaging 576kg a/c IG Selke Pty Ltd and 14 head averaging 497kg sold a/c department of AG to return $2119.2 and $1830.48/hd.
Best priced trade heifers were presented on a/c Flinders River that sold for 348.2c and weighed 482kg to return $1678.32/hd. The top pen of cows were sold by Flinders River, for 310.2c, weighing 528kg to return $1636.31/hd.
A pen of 23 cows a/c Cunningham Cattle Company averaged 304.2c weighing 497kg to return $1511.87. Bulls sold on a/c Cunningham Cattle Company for 350.2c, weighing 645kg to return $2258.79
