The 2020 events calendar has been decimated due to the pandemic but perhaps the first event of the winter may occur in August.
The Saxby Round-Up and Yelvertoft Campdraft both had to be postponed earlier this year due to the pandemic but now they are joining forces for a one-off event.
The committees of the two events have said they invited locals to save the date for for a limited program campdraft and rodeo to be held in Julia Creek on the weekend of August 14 to 16.
"There are a lot of variables and restrictions that need to be taken into consideration when planning an event during this time so stay tuned as plans develops," the committees said in a joint statement on Facebook.
Yelvertoft's Marcus Curr told the ABC Tuesday they planned to open the event to spectators and their plans was attracting a lot of interest.
"It will be limited but hopefully it will be a fun weekend," Mr Curr said.
The Yelvertoft Rodeo is normally held at Yelvertoft at Easter but was held in Julia Creek in 2018 due to the drought. It was one of the first events to fall this year.
The Saxby Round-up is normally held in late July but that was cancelled in May.
The Sedan Dip rodeo was also scheduled to be on August 16-18 but that has been cancelled for 2020.
"The (Sedan Dip) committee hopes the community can understand this decision and support our great sponsors who are all excited to partner with us again for a bigger and better 2021," he said.
