A yarding of 310 head at Miriam Vale saw a dearer market at Friday's monthly sale.
With a strong panel of buyers in attendance not many older steers were on offer with most of the yarding comprising weaner steers and heifers.
A Pizzy, Calliope, sold Droughtmaster cross steers for $1000. P and K Spencer, Miriam Vale, sold Brahman cross weaner steers for $1000. E Blows, Ubobo, sold Brangus cross weaner steers for $865.
T and M White, Boyne Valley, sold younger weaner steers for $805. Tricenex, Miriam Vale, sold younger weaner Brahman cross steers for $690. Most younger weaner steers sold from $600 to $800.
T Ferris, Bororen, sold Red Brahman heifers for $845. CJ Roylance sold Grey Brahman heifers for $700. Most younger heifers sold from $450 to $550.
K McGregor, Nagoorin, sold Brahman cross cows to average $1065. Cows sold from $850 to $1320.
The next sale will be Friday June 19.
