Eidsvold Livestock and Property held their fortnightly cattle sale on March 25, with a yarding of 1046 head including 15 cows and calves.
Steers 300 - 400kg topped at 378c to return $1268/hd. There was a good line up of fat cows with the over 520kg weight range selling to 256c to return $1497/hd.
The uncertainty of the COVID-19 has also had an impact on the cattle industry, resulting in a softer market from the previous sale.
Theodore Charbray bulls sold for 306c at 723kg returning $2214/hd. Theodore Brahman cross heifers sold for 328c at 201kg returning $660/hd.
Monto Brahman cross heifers sold for 326c at 393kg returning $1284/hd. Monto Brangus cross heifers sold for 333c at 406kg returning $1353/hd.
Eidsvold Brangus cows and calves sold 256c at 585kg returning $1487/hd and Brangus cross cows and calves for $1600/unit. Gayndah Droughtmaster cross steers sold for 338c at 440kg returning $1487/hd.
Harrami Charbray cross steers sold for 378c at 335kg returning $1268/hd and Charbray cross steers for 350c at 262kg returning $918/hd.
