THERE was plenty of action and spirited bidding at Big Country 2020.
With handy rain falling across parts of the state in the two weeks leading up to the event, talk turned to the weather as people gathered from far and wide to enjoy the sale.
Buyers came from across Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory for the 2020 sale, and they were not disappointed with the outstanding draft.
The preference toward polled genetics in the north was more apparent than ever at the Big Country Brahman Sale, with a homozygous polled grey bull topping the 2020 sale.
Spirited bidding ensued from the moment Akama Sambo 392 (P) entered the ring with the 29-month-old earning a top price of $75,000.
Topping the reds on Monday was Lanes Creek Rainman 2182 (P), who was showered with bids to reach a reds section high of $54,000 on day one of the 2020 Big Country Brahman Sale.
