On the eve of the Wilangi Invitation Brahman Sale being held today, sale agents, vendors, and all sale visitors united at the Sovereign Tavern in Charters Towers last night for the Coopers-sponsored Country Cocktails meet and greet.
The night provided guests with the opportunity to discuss the 226 first-rate grey Brahman bulls that have been catalogued for today's sale, after they got to have a thorough look at them during the Bull Walk sale team inspection at the Dalrymple Saleyards earlier in the day.
Mandy White from Wilangi Brahmans said it also provided the sale vendors with a chance to catch up with their clients before Christmas, to take stock of the year that was 2019.
"We're lucky enough to have a lot of repeat buyers attend the sale, some of who have been consistently purchasing at the sale since it began 32 years ago," she said.
Repeat buyers in attendance on the night said the ongoing appeal of the sale comes down to the consistent high-quality lines of bulls bred of out of genetically strong herds, that adapt well to perform in the cattle country of northern and central Australia.
These sentiments shone through resoundingly on the day with a great result achieved at the sale. A full report will appear online tomorrow on the North Queensland Register and Queensland Country Life websites and within the pages of the December 5 editions of each paper.
