The yarding at Gracemere on Friday was similar to the previous week, with a total of 2141 head; comprising 813 steers, 909 heifers, 389 cows, 23 bulls, and seven cow and calf units.
Quality and condition was mixed throughout the day in the yarding, drawn from the normal catchment around of Central Queensland between Bowen, Gin Gin and west to Moura.
Buyers comprised the normal group along with an extra processor and several new faces in the restocker paddock. A little moisture in some areas has helped change buyer attitudes. Values improved for most classes through the day.
