The Yarrawonga and Waco studs are set to offer 164 Santa Gertrudis sires during their on-property sale at Wallumbilla today.

Yarrawonga scored plenty of accolades at this year's Royal Queensland Show, taking out the grand champion bull and female titles with Yarrawonga Invictus and Yarrawonga Gigi.

The Bassingthwaighte family also excelled with their Santa Gertrudis cattle in the weight gain phase of Paddock to Palate, placing in three of the four classes.

The studs are celebrating their 60th anniversary sale in 2019 and the event is set to attract buyers from across the country.

At the 2018 sale, 149 bulls sold to average a hefty $9922.

The sale topped at $82,500 for Waco Napoleon N80 (P) offered by David and Suzanne Bassingthwaighte, Waco stud, Mungallala, and bought by Craig Hindle, Bullamakinka Santa Gertrudis stud, North Bungunya.
