For the last 22 years, Quamby Rodeo has been THE place to go in the North West on the last Saturday in July.
This year was no different with another huge crowd from all parts descending on the dot on the landscape 50km north of Cloncurry with only an abandoned pub for company.
As usual the Quamby All Sports Association put on the best bush rodeo in the country with traditional favourites like the wild donkey ride and wild cow ride always bringing huge cheers.
With the APRA players tied up in Richmond it was a chance for local rodeo cowboys and cowgirls to take centre stage before the big rodeos coming up in Cloncurry and Mount Isa.
Quamby All Sports Association thanked Cloncurry Shire Council on their continued support.
"The support this Council provides to local events such as our humble little rodeo helps to strengthen our community in small, but far-reaching ways," the Rodeo said.
