Stakeholders will be given a chance to weigh in on the new red meat industry strategic workshop, even if they're unable to make it to a series of regional focus groups.
Red meat producers, lot feeders, live exporters, processors and retailers are being asked to weigh in on the Meat Industry Strategic Plan, MISP 2030, with three webinars set to be held at the end of this month.
MISP 2030, which is being developed by the Red Meat Advisory Council, will be a consumer-focused plan to guide the investment of every dollar of industry levies to help Australia's 82,500 red meat businesses adapt to the next decade of change.
The emerging ideas and thinking in MISP 2030 will be road-tested on grassroots red meat businesses from across the supply chain in Townsville, Albany, Albury-Wodonga, Murray Bridge, Dubbo and Longford but a webinar option is also being offered for those who want to have their say outside those areas.
The webinars will be held on July 30 at 7.30pm EST, 12.30pm on July 31 and 9.30pm on August 1.
Based on the feedback from the regional workshops and the webinars, RMAC will refine and then finalise the plan by October.
