CQLX agents yarded 2968 head at Gracemere on Friday comprising 1438 steers, 945 heifers, 520 cows, 41 bulls and 24 cow and calf lots. Cattle were drawn from local areas, Moura, Theodore, Springsure and Collinsville. Overall it was a very good quality yarding especially in the weaner section. The market saw considerable renewed interest with all categories lifting by a minimum of 10c. Highlighted areas included the heavy feeder heifers, under 200kg weaner steers, and mickey bulls soaring over a 25c increase.

Slaughter cows sold to 237c, average 202c, cows 400-450kg made 190c, average 160c, cows 320-400kg reached 200c, average 145c, and cows under 320kg made 152c, average 94c.
Heavy heifers sold to 248c, average 224c, heifers 300-400kg made 253c, average 216c, heifers 200-300kg reached 234c, average 199c, and heifers under 200kg made 170c, average 142c.
Cows and calves sold to $1100/unit, average $952/unit.
