NEGOTIATIONS are continuing on the Springsure property Broadleaf Park, which was passed in for $1.5 million at an Elders auction on June 12.
Offered by Wendy and Huck Thornberry, the auction attracted a crowd of about 20 people including eight registered bidders, four of whom were active on the day.
Located on Minerva Hills Road north of Springsure, the 701 hectare (1733/acre) the property is described as a mix of treated scrub country and forest ridges. There is about 100ha of cultivation.
Improved pastures include buffel grass and butterfly pea. Significant stands of green panic exist along watercourses with predominately natural grass in the forest areas.
Broadleaf Park is fenced into four paddocks serviced by laneway to cattle yards. Water is supplied from two bores and a dam.
Structural improvements include steel and portable panel cattle yards and a 15x9m shed.
