More than 80 beef producers are expected for a day certain to be filled with insight during the Australian Brangus Cattle Association (ABCA) Zone 1 Field Day being hosted by Triple B Brangus stud principals Lindsay and Fiona Barlow on-property at Araluen, Dingo, on Saturday, August 31.
Fiona Barlow said on the day guests, who're arriving from all points of Queensland and possibly into New South Wales, will have the opportunity to learn more about the Brangus Group Breedplan, bull fertility, and family succession planning.
"The field day will get underway at 9.30am with morning tea, after which our guest speakers will give their presentations. This will be followed by lunch, then guests can inspect the cattle we'll have on display," Mrs Barlow said.
"Renowned veterinarian, Dr Ced Wise, Ced Wise Artificial Breeding Services, Glen Alpin, will be discussing bull fertility," she said.
"McCullough and Robertson Lawyers, Brisbane, senior associate, Frances Becker will deliver a presentation on family succession.
"Tropical Beef Technology Services' Roma-based beef extension officer, Tim Emery, will be discussing Brangus Group Breedplan basics."
After the presentations field day attendees will also be able to view the team of bulls destined for the 2019 Triple B Annual Production Sale, being held on Wednesday, October 2, along with other groups of cattle sourced from the stud.
