The market remained firm to slightly dearer for quality cows. Second grade steers met with strong competition and increased market, while remaining descriptions held firm on last week. Heifers saw a 20c increase across all descriptions.

Slaughter cows sold to 212.2c, average 150c, cows 400-450kg made 162.2c, average 137c, cows 320-400kg reached 146.2c, average 124.1c, and cows under 320kg made 90c, average 51c.
