Close to 120 ladies from the Northern Territory pastoral industry and beyond will converge at the Parliament House Dining Room and Nitmiluk Lounge on Thursday, March 28, from 12pm for the highly popular NTCA and Bilba Group Ladies Lunch, being held in conjunction with the annual NTCA AGM and Conference.
NTCA event coordinator Kylie Matthews said the NTCA values the contribution of the women of the pastoral industry "enormously".
"The NTCA Katherine branch is very proud to be able to host an annual event that is attended by so many remarkable and influential women," Ms Matthews said.
"The purpose of the Ladies Lunch is to give rural women the opportunity to socialise, network and reunite with friends, old and new, during a relaxed and entertaining afternoon," she said.
Ms Matthews said in a change from previous years, there won't be a guest speaker at the event this year.
"We believe this will grant our guests a greater chance to get to know each other, entertainment will be provided for the event, but the details for who or what that will be aren't confirmed at this point in time."
She said the event will be catered by Karen Sheldon Catering with menu to showcase local produce.
"Rare roast beef with caramelised onion and Horseradish for an entree, steamed local Barramundi fillet with mashed potato seared garlic greens and pink peppercorn sauce for a main, and warm flourless wattleseed brownie with chantilly cream and dragonfruit coulis for dessert, are just a few of the delicious dishes the ladies will be treated to."
Ms Matthews said In addition to the great conversation, and first-rate food, one lucky lady will leave the lunch with an exquisite door prize in the form of a Kimberley Paspaley Bracelet, featuring two, 12mm circle Australian South Sea pearls, courtesy of Paspaley Pearls.
"Our other generously donated prizes being offered include a Di Croco black hornback crocodile belt with collector buckle in sunrise white, and $500 gift voucher to Kimberley Fine Diamonds."
