A total of 6318 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s Store Sale on Tuesday. Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 266c and averaged 208c, weaner steers 220-280kg reached 260c and averaged 221c. Steers 280-350kg reached 266c and averaged 230c, and steers 350-400kg reached 266c and averaged 245c. Feeder steers 400-550kg topping at 264c and averaging 244c.

John Russell, Culbara, Roma sold Charolais cross steers to 266c, reaching a top of $812 to average $537. IH and SE Johnston, Downsview, Roma sold Charbray steers to 264c, reaching a top of $1263 to average $1123. Yackatoon Grazing Co, Langrantha, Wandoan sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 264c, reaching a top of $1076 to average $959.

Joy Naish, Coralbyn, Wandoan sold Angus steers to 263c, reaching a top of $751 to average $751. Wallabella, Wallumbilla sold Angus cross steers to 262c, reaching a top of $940 to average $800. Riverglen Pastoral Co, Riverglen, Glenmorgan sold Charolais cross steers to 260c, reaching a top of $1085 to average $1085.

M and C Redgen, The Rockies, Roma sold Red Brangus steers to 260c, reaching a top of $1030 to average $966. JA Henricks, Kilmarnock, Injune sold Angus cross steers to 258c, reaching a top of $964 to average $791. The Angus cross heifers sold to 200c, reaching a top of $723 to average $605. DH and SBM Campbell, Currawarra, Mitchell sold Santa cross steers to 256c, reaching a top of $1050 to average $639.

Heifers under 220kg topped at 168c and averaged 136c, while heifers 220 – 280kg topped at 220c and averaged 147c. Heifers 280-350kg topped at 211c, averaging 172c. Heifers 350-450kg topped at 220c, averaging 177c.

Fostoria-Fannon Pty Ltd, Crawney Station, Murrurundi sold Santa heifers to 186c, reaching a top of $576 to average $482.

Cows 300-400kg reached 170c and averaged 77c, while cows in the 400kg-500kg range reached 180c and averaged 119c. Cows over 500kg topped at 181c, averaging 147c.
