Santa No 8 heifers reach 286c/$664 at Monto

At Monto Cattle and Country’s fortnightly sale, Billy and Beryl Avis, Mulgildie, sold a run of No 8 quality Droughtmaster steers from 372kg down to 260kg to average $937 or 285c/kg.

Monto Cattle and Country yarded 600 head for their fortnightly fat and store sale.  Prices for prime and feeder cattle were strong along with quality young cattle while plainer types struggled. Cattle were drawn from Biloela, Eidsvold, Harrami, Boyne valley and Monto districts.
