There was a 40c/kg increase in the sale average at Biggenden on Monday, after good rain in the region.

Burnett Livestock & Realty’s meatworks and store sale on Monday  saw a yarding of 803 head. Very good rain over most of the region fired up the market with a 40c/kg increase in the sale average.

Trade bullocks 500kg-600kg sold to 300c, up 9c on last sale, and cows over 500kg sold to 270c, up 18c.  Cows 400 to 500kg sold to 251c, up 16c. Feeder steers 400kg to 500kg sold to a top of 303c, up 15c, while steers 300kg to 400kg sold to 304c, up 21c. Steers 200kg to 300kg sold to 375c, up 96c on last fortnight. Heifers 300kg to 400kg sold for 333c, up 89c and heifers 200kg to 300kg sold to 294c, up 54c. 

Milk and two tooth Crossbred steers from Mundubbera sold for 300c/$1545. Crossbred cows from Mundubbera sold for 270c/$1513.  Brangus cows from Bundaberg sold for 269c/$1635. Droughtmaster cows from Bundaberg sold for 268c/$1555.  Charolais cows from Bundaberg sold for 267c/$1736. Charbray cows from Gin Gin sold for 251c/$1237. Brahman cows from Gin Gin sold for 250c/$1238. Four to eight tooth trade heifers from Gin Gin sold for 249c/$1146.  Heavy Droughtmaster bulls from Gin Gin sold for 278c/$2531. Heavy Brahman bulls from Gayndah sold for 279c/$2387.
