BULLS sold to a top of $15,000 to average $7148 at the Burenda Blacks and Angus sale in Clermont on Thursday.
Sale topper was the Burenda Blacks poll Burenda Specialist, which sold to Bernard and Cynthia Anderson, Narrien, Clermont. The 26 month old entered the salering at 916kg and had a 131sq cm eye muscle area, 5.8 per cent intramuscular fat, a 43cm scrotal circumference, and a 1.64kg weight gain.
The Andersons bought two other heifer suitable, Burenda Blacks poll bulls: Emperor for $9500 and Distinction for $8500. Burenda Emperor has 75pc and was by Te Mania Emperor.
Second top price at $14,000 was the Emperor bred Angus, Burenda Memorial, Tayglen Pastoral Company, Dysart. The 26 month old Memorial had a 128sq cm EMA. Tayglen also bought the 25 month old Angus, Burenda Mileage, for $12,000.
Burenda Flycatcher was bought for $10,500 by Munnaweena, Mitchell.
The 61 bulls offered resulted in a 100 per cent clearance, with repeat buyers dominating the sale.
