THE Australian Campdraft Association came together to thank the increasingly popular horse sport’s sponsors at a special dinner in Brisbane on Saturday night.
Sketches by talented artist Melissa Salmond were presented to each of the sponsoring bodies: Riverina Stock Feeds, Ariat and Just Country Australia, Bar H Grazing Wagyu, One Moore Daddy, HTL Hair Testing Laboratory, Landmark Equine and Cannard Hats.
The night all saw the addition of three new names to the ACA’s honour roll: Casino’s Ted Winnell and Peter and Jane Hughes from Tierawoomba, Nebo.
Mr Winnell is particularly well known for his efforts as a volunteer, attending almost every campdraft in the NSW Northern Rivers. A capable cattleman, he is well known for throwing himself into helping with whatever task requires to be done.
Peter and Jane Hughes were both added to the honour roll as generous contributor of cattle for campdrafts as well as being long term administrators of the hugely popular sport.
