JEFF and Trish Poole’s picturesque hinterland property Middlemount has sold for $1.181 million.
Situated at Sandy Creek area in the Woodford/Kilcoy district, the 168 hectare (414 acre) property has lovely views of the nearby Conondale Ranges.
The Pooles have owned Middlemount since 2006, when they moved in from their former Longreach property Lillianfells.
The former dairy farm is described as having a perfect balance of cleared and well shaded country. More than half of Middlemount is developed undulating grazing country. Some 20ha is also described as suitable to horticulture.
Middlemount is said to have consistently carrying more than 100 breeders plus progeny.
The property also has excellent water including 14 dams and a good bore with potable water. Middlemount is described as a “no stress water property”.
The comfortable timber homestead has three bedrooms, study and two bathrooms. The long and wide covered front deck is a stunning location for relaxing and family meals. There is also an additional outdoor entertaining area, with views over both the large main dam and farm and onto the unique peaks, spurs and striking escarpments of the surrounding Conondale Ranges.
The homestead area is surrounded by a wonderful combination of very mature trees, including a large stunning 80-year-old fig tree and numerous towering white gum trees, in addition to the large variety of colourful shrubs, rose gardens and mature fruit trees.
