Two fatalities in Far North Queensland


Two men have died after separate crashes in the Far North.


A YOUNG man died after his ute left the road and rolled near Cairns last night.

The 22-year-old Cairns man was killed after his use left Cairns Road at Gordonvale about 9.30pm.

The man, who was travelling alone, died at the scene.

It was the second fatal crash in the Far North region in two days, and comes after a man was killed in a motorbike crash at Ravenshoe on Wednesday night.

The rider, a 51-year-old man, died after his motorbike left Wooroora Road and hit a culvert about 7pm.

The man, who was from Millstream, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating both crashes.
