BREAKFAST events have always been a popular option for LambEx 2018 delegates, so this year for the first time LambEx 2018 has upped the options, and will offer delegates the chance to attend four different breakfast events.
There are limited seats, so delegates are asked to book in early.
Monday, August 6 - day one:
7am - LambEx 2018 breakfast seminars sponsored by AusWest Seeds, Sheep CRC and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Option one - AusWest Seeds breakfast seminar.
AusWest Seeds will discuss how the use of novel forages with improved nutritive value, that are easily harvested, helps lambs consume as close to their potential as possible.
Combined with appropriate stocking rates, especially when they are targeted to responsive periods in their annual cycle, using these novel forages can have a significant impact on the output from livestock systems.
Option two - Sheep CRC breakfast seminar.
The Sheep CRC invites you to the launch of AskBill, the new app that provides timely and accurate predictions for your sheep well-being and productivity using climate, stock and pasture information.
Option three - Boehringer Ingelheim breakfast seminar.
The face of animal husbandry is changing, it is now routine for effective pain relief to be used during livestock procedures in cattle, pigs, and horses.
Now sheep can benefit too. Learn about the latest research in this space, the different types of pain relief available and the benefits to your sheep.
Tuesday, August 7 – day two:
Attend the Gallagher breakfast on Tuesday and hear from West Australian farm management consultant Paul Omodei.
Mr Omodei is based in Manjimup in south-western, WA, and has been consulting since 2004, after working with CSBP Ltd for nine years in various management roles.
Mr Omodei will be delivering a presentation on a better approach to pasture management through strip and rotational grazing and will also cover optimising animal selection for better production.
