All categories saw a lift in rate with slaughter types being well sought after by processors.
Heavy bullocks over 550kg made to 274c to average 268c, while steers 500-550kg made to 272c to average 262c. Steers 400-500kg made to 269c to average 259c, with steers 350-400kg reaching 269c to average 260c. Steers 280-350kg made to 273c to average 258c, while steers in the weaner weight ranges made to 300c to average 280c.
Heifers over 400kg made to 262c to average 254c, while heifers 350-400kg reached 253c to average 219c. Heifers 280-350kg reached 249c and averaged 222c, while heifers in the weaner weight ranges made to 219c to average 187c.
Heavy cows over 520kg saw an increase in rate by up to 18c, with these types making to 233c and averaging 221c, while cows 450-520kg made to 230c to average 208c. A small lot of cows and calves penned made $1100/unit.
