UPDATE: CAMPBELL and Roz Brownlie Condamine property Moira Runda has sold after being passed in for $13 million at a Ray White Rural auction in Brisbane on Friday.
Bidding opened at $8m before quickly rising to $13m. The property was subsequently sold to the highest bidder, Paraway Pastoral Company, for an undisclosed price.
Moira Runda consists of 5314 hectares (13,131 acres) of brigalow belah, melon hole country situated 52km west of Condamine.
The $13m passed in figure represents $2446/ha ($990/acre.)
The developed country has prolific stands of buffel, native grasses and herbages in season.
The carrying capacity is estimated to be 3000 backgrounding cattle.
There is 1457ha of cultivation, which enables oats and forage sorghum for grazing, silage, and hay production.
A 303ha oats crop was offered with the property.
The property is divided into 26 main paddocks, and five holding paddocks.
Improvements include two sets of cattle yards, a four bedroom homestead, staff quarters, machinery sheds and elevated grain storage.
The marketing of Moira Runda was handled by Bruce Douglas and Mark Schwerin from Ray White Rural.
