After a busy first day taking in all that the Richmond Field Days has to offer, visitors will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy a fun-filled night at the popular Stockplace Cocktail Party taking place at the Richmond Civic Centre on Friday, June 15, from 6.30pm.

Cocktail Party event coordinator Tammy Bailey said the night will begin with guests being treated to a complimentary drink and canapés courtesy upon their arrival, courtesy of Mackey Wales Law.
“After settling in party guests will be able to enjoy a night filled with great conversation and laughs with old mates, and new friends made during the day,” Ms Bailey said.
“While having a good old yarn, guests will enjoy a delicious stand up style grazing menu which will be circulated well into the night to keep the everyone’s appetites sated.
“If dancing takes your fancy then thanks to Key Motors we’ll have fantastic DJ to keep you entertained, so don’t forget those dancing shoes.”
Ms Bailey said another highlight of the night will include the announcement of five lucky party guests who’ll each be receiving $100 in Key Motors Cash Cow giveaway.
“There will also be a lucky door prize in the offing, comprising of an accommodation and meal package, sponsored by Mercure Townsville.”
The night will also act as an unofficial second birthday party for Stockplace Marketing, and the team along with the rest of the combined agents will out in force during the night to chat with guests and to announce the winners from the various categories in The Richmond Field Days All Breeds Bull Sale.
“We’d usually name the winners of the Wellard Live Export Steer Competition (returning in 2019) on the night, but it was cancelled this year due to the lateness of the wet season,” Ms Bailey said.
She said the bar will be operating throughout the night, and to ensure all cocktail party guests arrive, and get back to their accommodation safely and soundly, a courtesy bus will be running all evening.
