Damper, stews and soups were the order of the day at the Ravenswood camp oven cook off.
DAMPER, soups and stews were on the menu at a camp oven cook off event at Ravenswood at the weekend.
Hungry hoards traveled from across the North to enjoy the feast served up by the amateur chefs.
The event, at the Outback Railway Hotel, not only gave revelers a taste of camp oven fare, but also raised money for the Golden Octopus Foundation, a charity supporting families of children with cancer.
Organiser Craig Melville said over $1200 was raised on the night and he was already planning the next event.
