Snail research finds autumn ideal time to bait

THE HEAT of summer is only just dissipating but farmers are being urged to get on and bait for snails – which traditionally start to get mobile with the first moisture of autumn.

Gregor Heard is ACM's national grains industry reporter, based in Horsham, Victoria. He has a wealth of knowledge surrounding the cropping sector through his 15 years in the role.
