THE Murray-Darling Basin Royal Commission has released a paper canvassing issues at the centre of its inquiry, and is calling for water users and concerned citizens to come forward with information.
The 13-page Issues Paper details the area the Commission will be focusing on, following its initial information gathering and analysing key materials period.
Senior Counsel Assisting Richard Beasley said hoped anyone with information relation to the areas of interest would provide a submission to the Commission and/or address the Commission at one if its community consultations, which are being held across the basin.
“The issues paper identifies key matters of interest from the Terms of Reference that the Commission is focusing on,” he said.
“This can help people wishing to provide a submission, or planning to address the Commission at the community consultations.”
Written submissions from the pubic are open until April 30 and submissions can be uploaded through the MDB Royal Commission website.
