Gracemere Droughtmaster cross steers make 380.2c


It was a good quality yarding for the final sale of the year with regular buyers in attendance and the market firm for most lines at Gracemere on December 8.


The last sale for 2017 saw a yarding of 2845 head at Gracemere on December 8 comprising 1220 steers, 1020 heifers, 470 cows, 70 cows and calves and 65 bulls. It was a good quality yarding with regular buyers in attendance which kept competition keen and the market firm for most lines.

M Moore and G Lang sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 380.2c weighing 228kg to return $870 and the Heifer Portion sold to 326c, they weighed 203kg to return $664.

Terry Franks Alton Downs sold quality Brangus steersfor 390c weighing 230kg to return $897. Greg Graving Monto sold Red Brangus Strs for 278c weighing 470kg to return $1309.

Cedarvale Past Co Ubobo sold Charbray cross No 6 heifers for 256c weighing 403kg to return $1033.  Spelta Grazing Gogango sold No7 Santa cross heifers for 326c weighing 290kg to return $943.

Joe and Rachael Olive Nullegai Marlborough sold quality Brahman steers to 400c they weighed 202kg to return $785.

SA and MC Desbois Mt Ossa Mackay sold No6 Brahman cross steers to 318c weighing 363kg to return $1106. N Radden sold Droughtmaster cows to top at 217c weighing 566kg to return $1229.

Cedar Creek Grazing Gogango sold Droughtmaster bullocks to a top of 266c weighing 612 kg to return $1629. Mark and Katrina Brown Dululu sold Brangus prime cows to 222c weighing 498kg to return $1107.

Will Baker and Family Goovigen sold Droughtmaster weaner heifers to 332c weighing 231kg to return $767.

The next Gracemere sale will be held on January 12, 2018 starting at 8.30am.
