Gracemere agents yarded 3031 head on Friday, November 17, comprised of 1249 steers, 1244 heifers, 452 cows, 57 cows and calves and 29 bulls.
Cattle came from Collinsville, Nebo and Mackay and all local areas.
Overall the quality of the yarding was good, there was a complete field of buyers, therefore the market remained firm on last week’s prices with some descriptions falling mainly due to the quality of those cattle.
Slaughter steers sold to 300.2c, average 278.4c, steers 400-500kg made 308.2c, average 287.2c, steers 300-400kg reached 351.2c, average 305.2c, steers 200-300kg made 343.2c and steers under 200kg sold to 440.2c, average 359.2c.
Slaughter cows sold to 246.2c, average 234c, cows 400-450kg made 251.2c, average 218.2c, cows 320-400kg reached 267.2c, average 208.4c, and cows under 320kg made 196.2c, average 180.4c.
Heavy heifers sold to 306.2c, average 285.9c, heifers 300-400kg made 312.2c, average 271.2c, heifers 200-300kg reached 333.2c, average 294.4c, and heifers under 200kg made 337.2c, average 304.4c.
Cows and calves sold to $1400, average $1100.
Bulls over 600kg made 240.2c, average 230.4c, bulls 450-600kg reached 266.2c, average 248.9c and bulls under 450kg sold to 282.2c, average 304.4c.
