‘The friendly heart of the great North West’ hosted thousands of visitors and locals for Cloncurry’s final C150 Anniversary celebrations; including an absolutely packed race day at Cloncurry Equestrian Centre.

In 37 degree heat on Saturday, September 23, punters enjoyed a six card race day including the Brodie & Co. / Lorraine Pastoral Company Class 3 Plate with a total $30,000 prize pool.

Style was sky high at Fashions on the Field, well attended by all ages of ladies and gentlemen.

Fresh spring shades like mint and pinks were popular, and colour blocking is back. Fewer sequins spotted on the field versus the ball.

Taking first place for Classic Ladies was Bev Webber and runner-up Helen Morrison, Contemporary Ladies was won by Chelsea Salisbury with Lucy Whitbread as runner-up and in Young Ladies, Darcie Fickling won while Grace McLauchlan was runner-up.

Gents won by Mugundan Sivakumar with Chris Burns as runner-up. Junior winners included Mia McMillan and Wyatt Mara (4).
