More than a dozen cattle breeds descended on the main arena on Thursday for the Royal Queensland Show stud cattle judging.
While the cattle teams were busy preparing, agribusiness leaders met at the Rural Press Club breakfast to hear from Australian Country Choice’s David Foote.
In no uncertain terms, he told the audience Australia’s beef industry did not need visionaries but was deeply void in united leadership.

Expo Place also came alive for the prime beef judging, with the Cook family taking out the top prize.
Thursday’s stud cattle results will continue to be published overnight.
