Droughtmaster bulls topped proceedings on the final day of the annual February All Breeds Sale at $13,000.
The breed recorded a $5819 average and a clearance level of 90 percent as opposed to an overall bottomline average of $4989 and 76 percent clearance.
Top seller for the breed and the day was a 1020kg, 28-month-old, herd bull offered by Nic and Rhonda Dudarko, Kangarin Stud, Biloela selling for $13,000 to Donald and Wendy Brown, Latrobe Stud, Longreach.
Brangus kicked off proceedings with 23 setting an average of $6522 and topping at $12,000 for a 952kg, 36-month-old, Doonside Flybuy (P) offered by Bill and Kay Geedes, Doonside Stud, Barmoya going to Collingvale Pty Ltd, Dingo Beach.
Another high seller in the Brangus section was the $11,000 sale of Maccaboyz Maximus (26-monhts) offered by the Maccaboyz prefix, Yargullen to Bill and Sue Pickersgill, Geneva, Theodore.
Charbray bulls topped at $10,000 to average $4636, while a trio of Ultrablack bulls averaged $7750. Charolais bulls topped at $9000 while 12 Simmental bulls topped at $10,000 to set an average $5167 to record an overall clearance of 92 percent.
In all 265 head (bulls and females) sold to average $4989 to record a 76 percent clearance at auction and ending in a gross of $1.322M.
