THE 30th annual Cattlemen’s Dinner was an opportunity to say a final farewell to outgoing NTCA Executive Director Luke Bowen and end the conference with recognition of its members.
Mr Bowen received a standing ovation and said his six years with the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) were “incredibly rewarding” and it was a hard decision to “pull up stumps.”
“The strength of this organisation and this industry is the solidarity and unity it has, it’s a sense of family,” Mr Bowen said.
He said the media were the greatest asset the organisation have and should be better utilised in the future.
"The media aren't the media. They are a group of people who are committed, who are passionate, intelligent, they're doing a job, and what they do is find the real stories and tell the rest of the country what we're doing,” he said.
NTCA President David Warriner and NFF representative Tracey Hayes presented Mr Bowen with framed NTCA memorabilia.
