THE 2013 Longreach Bull Sale was an improvement on the sales thus far this year but it still was not what one might call a “trumpeting success”.
AT the end of the day there had been a total of 295 bulls offered with 219 sold under the hammer representing a 74 per cent clearance.
The top priced bull of the sale again went to the Rondel Stud when Lot 200, Rondel Passport; a 21 month old bull by the sire Rondel Jim Beam, out of the dam Rondel Megan was knocked down to the Chippendale Pastoral Company for $13,000.
The top priced Brahman, Lot 290 JNH Kruizer was offered by J and H Titmarsh’s JNH Brahman Stud and purchased by Ben and Jaye Hall, Bibil Brahmans, Muttaburra.
