MP calling for live ex ban
UPDATE: MORE footage of animal cruelty allegedly filmed in Egyptian abattoirs was revealed at a press conference this morning by MP Andrew Wilkie and Animals Australia campaign director Lyn White.
The video footage, similar in content to that handed to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) on May 1 and subsequently aired on ABC on May 6, has not yet been reviewed by authorities.
Mr Wilkie, the Independent Member for Denison, organised the press conference to announce another attempt to push legislation banning live export.
