LAKE Fred Tritton was the venue for a community fun day with a difference on Sunday, October 27.
The Walk with a Splash of Colour was a fundraising venture benefiting Junior Diabetes Research on behalf of Darcy Russell.
Event Co-Ordinators Amy Russell and Richmond Shire Council Sport and Recreation Officer Renae Hick were overwhelmed with the support from the community and local businesses.
A field of 72 participants had a choice of a 5km bush walk or the leisurely 1.2km lake walk. Walkers were treated to an assault of colour through four paint stations and two mobile paint snipers.
The Richmond Fire Service and Richmond Police were on hand to prove that paint and water do mix.
A total of $1365.50 was raised for the afternoon. A great community effort for a great cause.
