Cattle were drawn mostly from local areas along with several lines north to Collinsville. Dry conditions continuing throughout the local Central Queensland area has affected confidence in buyers and prices reflected that with the market trending some 10-30c/kg easier across the board on most descriptions, in line with other selling centres this week.
Slaughter steers sold to 266.2c, average 250.1c, steers 400-500kg made 274.2c, average 259.3c, steers 300-400kg reached 336.2c, average 276.9c, steers 200-300kg made 356.2c, average 302.3c and steers under 200kg sold to 358.2c, average 315.8c.
Slaughter cows sold to 247.2c, average 194.6c, cows 400-450kg made 244.2c, average 188.1c, cows 320-400kg reached 195c, average 145.4c, and cows under 320kg made 146.2c, average 111c.
Heavy heifers sold to 256.2c, average 229.2c, heifers 300-400kg made 262.2c, average 239.7c, heifers 200-300kg reached 276.2c, average 229.5c, and heifers under 200kg made 272.2c, average 210.9c.
