RIVERVIEW, a handy property located about 27km from both Pittsworth and Millmerran, has sold at a Ray White Rural auction for $650,000.
Located at the corner of the Tummaville Road and the Millmerran-Leyburn Road, Riverview covers 152 hectares (375 acres).
The sale price achieved in Toowoomba this morning is equal to about $4276/ha ($1733/acre).
The property comprises of Condamine River red gum country with deep black clay soils that runs into box and Moreton Bay ash country. Currently about 89ha is farmed with a further 16ha cleared and planted with improved pastures.
The balance of Riverview is creek and billabong country with an area of shaded grazing on the western end.
Riverview has a frontage to the Condamine River plus a double frontage to Canal Creek. In addition, water is supplied from a stock bore equipped with a windmill.
The black soil country is described as being perfectly suited to growing cotton, grain, sorghum and winter cereal crops. The grazing country and frontage country is ideally suited to cattle. Riverview also has some excellent building sites.
