TELTRA has added the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ to its list of mobile phones provide the best possible coverage in rural and regional areas.
The S9 and S9+, which go on sale later this week, have been awarded Telstra’s Blue Tick certification meaning the handsets are recommended for use by regional customers.
Telstra’s head of mobiles Kevin Teoh said while the Telstra Mobile Network was Australia’s largest, fastest and the most reliable, user experience was not just about the network but also about the handset.
“For this reason Telstra established Blue Tick certification to recommend products which have passed specific testing and which will, as a result, deliver superior voice coverage performance for our customers in regional and rural areas,” Mr Teoh said.
“The new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ both came through our extensive field and lab tests with flying colours and are duly awarded our Blue Tick certification”.
Telstra’s Blue Tick was established 11 years ago to help regional customers choose the phone that would provide them with the best coverage experience
Devices are tested for receiver sensitivity in a laboratory under controlled conditions and in rural areas on the Telstra Mobile Network, ensuring optimal call quality for customers
