A BULL sale may not be the honeymoon most girls dream of, but for Siobhan Randell (nee Francis) – it was the only one she was set to go on.
In October last year Siobhan, daughter of Carl and Jill Francis, married Terry Randell, the son of John and Cheryl Randell, at Bridgeman Park, Capella.
The venue had plenty of special meaning for Siobhan, as it was named in honour of her grandparents Joe and Ruby Bridgeman.
The wedding was fitting for the two graziers – with the ceremony taking place in the main ring.
The honeymoon, however, was 12 days after the wedding – when Terry took Siobhan to what she called “the great town of Nebo”, for the Beef Country Brahman Bull Sale to sell 25 bulls.
In the months leading up to the big day both sides of the family were kept busy after Siobhan decided she wanted most of the wedding to have a do-it-yourself vibe.
The bouquet itself was made up of handmade flowers, all created from hankies owned by the couple’s mothers, aunties, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers.
“We got engaged in February 2017 during a photoshoot that we won for best dressed couple at the Twin Hill Races,” Siobhan said.

“We set our wedding day around (our photographer) Jess (Edwards) as we wanted her to be part of our big day as she was there from the start.”
