THE Palaszczuk government is being pressed to provide assurances that regular cattle train services will be back on track for the coming mustering season.
Member for Gregory, Lachlan Millar, said he had written to Transport Minister Mark Bailey for a guarantee that essential cattle train services will be available.
“The industry needs answers,” Mr Millar said.
“Some genius had agreed to flimsy design and manufacture and the whole lot had to be withdrawn from service and hauled south for repairs.
“Cattle producers, selling agents and abattoir operators need to know as they can start to make mustering and transport plans for the coming season.”
